The Interact Club

Our Interactors at Chandler High School are on fire. They have approximately 30 members and are involved in both their own community service projects and those of our parent Club, Chandler Horizon. We have had work parties for East Valley Military Support, collaborated on the Adopt a Family for Christmas. They have staffed several breast cancer events here in the Valley, collected books for the ASU Rotaractor's annual drive and are doing fund raising for an overseas project. We are always delighted to have the Interactors involved with staffing our Hole in One event each February.  Every year, the Club reaches new heights of accomplishment. They are a vibrant, committed group of teens that are a pleasure to introduce to Rotary.

Ringing the Bell for the Salvation Army December 2009

Some of the girls from the 2009 Chandler High School Interact Club showed their support by joining Santa and caroling, while Rotary Club members rang the bell for the Salvation Army. It was a great day! Kids shopping with parents stopped by to say hello to Santa, many shoppers gathered to hear the singing and in the end dropped some money into the pot. It was a fun time!

Chandler High School Interact Club Volunteers at 2010 Hole-in-One Contest

This year’s Interact Club has achieved tremendous accomplishments. They recruited over 50 new members bringing the total members to over 90. The enthusiasm of the club allowed them to participate in numerous projects, including the PF Chang Rock’n’Roll Marathon, the Race for the Cure, East Valley Military Support, Adopt-a-Family, Relay for Life, only to mention a few.

Their favorite project was Feed My Starving Children where they helped put together 10,000 packages of food. Four of the members attended  RYLA, paid for by our club, where they enjoyed  four days of leadership camp.

Congratulations on a job well done!
